Victoria Smith is an enthusiastic dance instructor here at Weir Dancin. With over 15 years of dance experience along with a B.A. in Dance from The University of North Carolina at Charlotte, Victoria utilizes a teaching style that unifies creativity in the classroom. Victoria has been trained in numerous styles of dance including contemporary, ballroom, and hip hop. While receiving her degree, Victoria served as a fundamental dancer on the UNCC Dance Team. During her time as a team member they placed 2nd in their division at the NDA National Championship in Daytona, Fl. Victoria has had the honor to study under some of the most prominent contemporary dancers, such as Noel Reiss from the Alwin Nicolais Company, Delia Neil of The Royal Ballet in N.Y.C., and Matthew Rushing from the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theatre. Victoria’s choreography combines technique and dance diversity, allowing it to stand out among the crowd. Her own personal reward is found when her students learn to find their own style of dance using creativity and passion. Her bright smile, love to teach and positive attitude contribute to her popularity with the young dancers !
